Day Of Fitting Preparation

On the day of your installation, all furniture and appliances MUST be removed, and any existing flooring uplifted unless otherwise agreed at the point of sale.

Your sub floor must be in good condition, dry, brushed clean of any debris and ready for installation, this is not the responsibility of your fitter or pay smart carpets.

It is an all-day call on the day of installation so your fitter can arrive at any point during the day. However, you will be given your fitters number in the morning by text, and they will call you approximately 30 mins before they are due to arrive.

The fitting fee can be found on the paperwork given by the sales representative. It will be payable to the fitter on the day in cash unless you have paid upfront.

We do not take away waste, however the fitter will tidy the area and place any rubbish in bags supplied.

Before we fit your carpet you’ll need to remove any existing flooring, underlay and nails. Please leave the original grippers in place, and if they require replacing our fitter will do this.
Before we fit your vinyl you'll need to remove any existing flooring, underlay, nails and grippers. To ensure a clean and smooth subfloor sweep the area to remove any debris that could pierce the vinyl. If your subfloor is uneven you’ll be required to get the floor treated before fitting.
Before we fit your laminate you'll need to remove any existing flooring, underlay, nails and grippers. Vacuum or sweep the subfloor to ensure it’s free from any dirt. It’s essential that your subfloor is level as installing on an uneven floor can result in damaging the laminate when walked on.
We ask you to please disassemble or move any old beds from the room of assembly.

Depending on your purchase you should have received casters or gliders, U-clips or Link bars (only available with some beds) and headboard bolts (if headboard purchased)

The following tools will be required: large flat screwdriver or crosshead screwdriver.

Link bars - the linking bar screw holes are close to where the two halves of the bases meet, screw one side with the link bar, then the other side, making sure that the link bar is loose enough to allow the open end to be guided over the screw then hand tight both ends. Repeat the process on the other side.

Fitting the headboard - place the mattress on top of the base, locate the headboard bolts and the position on the base where the bolts need to be placed (you may need to use a screwdriver to pierce holes for the bolts to go into) screw the bolts in sufficiently, glide the headboard arms onto the bolts between the base and the plastic washer and then tighten the bolts to hold the headboard in place.

Yes. There is a charge for this. The sales advisor will refer to the customer add-ons at the point of sale and this cost is added to the fitting fee.

Payment is cash on the day unless otherwise stated on your agreement.

No, we are not licensed to carry or dispose of waste. however, the fitters will tidy and bag any waste.

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the subfloor is suitable and prepped for the product they want, our sales advisors are not qualified to give professional advice.
